I became a licensed realtor in 1988 and I have enjoyed an active and successful career. Prior to this, I was eager for more education and completed studies in Business Administration Management, then Business Administration Marketing and also the Real Estate Studies Program at B.C.I.T. I carried on to achieve my Urban Land Economics at U.B.C. Thus, letting me collect a number of diploma’s and degrees and preparing me for an outstanding real estate career.
Early on, in 1996, I completed the Agent’s Course allowing me to manage my own real estate office and the Associate Broker designation. In 2016 I completed the coveted CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Accreditation which less than 1% of Commercial Brokers hold in North America. To even write the final for this designation, you need 20 Million is sales within a limited time.
For 2 years in the early 90's when the market was in a challanging position, besides selling real estate, I was the Vice-President and I managed the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Auction company where we sold millions of dollars of condominium development properties. I brought 9 developments to the market within these years. The experience was tremendous but I also made both the developers and the buyers very happy in those tough years.
Top Sales Awards I achieved along the way are too numerous to include still, for recognition, the Medallion Club for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, a Chairman Circle Office Internationally and also Coldwell Banker Presidents Elite Status offering me Top 1% Internationally, to name a few. I have sold over 500 Acres of Development Land in my career.
I wrote and teach two class for the real estate agents in BC. The first being: Strata Wind-Up and Termination which is a very valuable course and my specialty. Also: Land Development and Assembly, which is so popular well received and popular.
In all my years in Real Estate I have taken the direct approach to selling. I have found the truth works much better than any other sales technique taught to me. My clients appreciate my candor and straight forward approach, and this has offered me a long career in repeat and referral clients. This is how I came upon the phrase “Your Friend in the Business.”
